This month, Shiseido launched an all-new skincare collection; Ibuki. I’m one of the lucky few who received these products over the summer to test. Read on to find out what the new line is all about and whether or not it’s right for you.
This skincare line could not be more perfectly tailored to women aged 25 to 34. Women born after 1980 have faced different environmental factors, meaning their skin is actually has different needs. The Ibuki line was made with these women (like me) in mind. Our generation of women has dealt with factors like UV damage, pollutants, dryness, poor eating habits, tobacco, lack of sleep, stress and an active nightlife, more than any other generation of women. As you may have guessed, all of these factors can dramatically affect the quality of our skin.
The Ibuki line is a luxurious skincare line targeted at countering those effects on the skin and restoring skin to a healthier state. I tried the skincare line out myself and was amazed. So was my husband (a.k.a. the pickiest man on Earth). As a pharmacist, he evaluates products on their effectiveness alone, not on cosmetic appeal. And he truly loves this line of products. He said the hydrating cream was odourless, absorbent, moisturizing and non-greasy. I have to agree. All the products impressed me.
If you’re looking to rejuvenate your skin and get into a healthy skincare routine, Ibuki has everything you need: Gentle Cleanser ($35) for sensitive skin, Purifying Cleanser ($35) for thicker skin, Softening Lotion ($30) to make skin feel softer and silkier, Hydrating Cream ($52), Enriched Moisturizer ($52) for drier skin or for use in the evenings during winter, SPF 15 Moisturizer ($52) for all-day protection, and Eye Correcting Cream ($45) to protect the fragile skin around the eyes which is often where the first signs of fatigue and stress are seen.
The products are all very soft and smooth and will make you feel like you just gave yourself a professional facial. With winter around the corner, it’s time to increase the moisture and get into a healthy skincare routine. Have you tried Shiseido’s Ibuki yet?
