Makeup Overload: Stila Holiday 2012 Collection

It’s times like these when I love being a beauty blogger even more than usual. When the Stila Holiday 2012 Collection landed on my doorstep, I think I actually jumped for joy. This collection is so gorgeous and every element doubles as the perfect gift. Read on for deets on the pretty new collection.

If you’re planning a gift exchange or just looking to spoil yourself, the Snow Angel Color Palette ($50) is the ultimate makeup purchase. With 12 cheek colours and 18 eyeshadows, there are enough combinations in this palette for you to try a new look every day throughout the holiday season and beyond. I love that the cheek colours range from pinks and reds to bronze and burgundy. With both matte and shimmering shades, there is something for every occasion and every complexion in here. Trust me when I say, this palette is HUGE! Plus, it comes with a mini mascara and makes for the best Christmas gift ever!

Written in the Stars Eyeshadow Palette ($26) is great for a stocking stuffer or for anyone who likes many choices in one convenient compact. These whimsical, soft shades are super pretty and there are tons of combos to be made. Again, there is a mix of matte and shimmering so you can dress your eyes up or down as much as you’d like. You can also opt for the super-practical Seeing Stars Smudge  Stick Waterproof Eyeliner Set ($42 for a $130 value). With every shade of liner you could possibly need, you’ll be totally covered. Plus, these liners smudge and blend so well because of their creamy texture. I love them!

For the lip gloss lovers (like myself), you won’t be able to resist the All is Bright Holiday Lip Glaze Set ($33) this season. Every year, I intend to give these away as gifts but there are always a few shades I have to keep for myself. Lip Glaze is knows for lots of shine without the sticky factor. I wore Stila Lip Glaze on my wedding and my hubby was very happy he didn’t end up with a sticky pout himself.

And of course, makeup newbies can also benefit from this holiday collection with the Holiday 2012 Brush Set ($36). These brushes make applying makeup a breeze. I smell another great stocking stuffer.

The collection is available now at Shopper’s Drug Mart Beauty Boutiques, Murale and Sephora. Which items are your faves?
