Marilyne Baril at Montreal Fashion Week: Winter Chic
Last Thursday I had the opportunity to attend Montreal Fashion Week at Arsenal to admire the creations of six great fashion designers at the Exhibit24. Read on for deets on the event.
The designs that caught my eye were Marilyne Baril’s warm and cozy coats in wool and leather boots lined with fur, paired with white beanies and bright red lips.
Baril’s creations are both warm and sophisticated for the urban woman during the chilly winter season. Russian futuristic poet Maiakovsky inspired Baril’s Fall-Winter 2013-14 collection, as the soft combinations of cream, brown, navy, black and ivory with a pop of red are integrated in her creations. Neutrals combined with a touch of bright colour is a trend that definitely translates into beauty so keep those colours in mind when starting up your fall 2013 makeup collection.
I am in love with these ensembles that are perfect for a day out and about in the city. Minimalist makeup is the best accessory for one of this winter chic looks, but a bold rep lip scattered into the mix isn’t a bad idea.
