So I’m hitting the big 3-0 this year and in beauty blogger years, that’s like 106. Needless to say, wrinkles and other signs of aging are starting to worry me so I am a full-fledged anti-aging skincare user. No excuses, ladies: If you are 25 or older, you need to read on to find out why anti-aging care is so important and why Fréquence by Gigi may be a really great option for you.
There is nothing we can do to turn back the hands of time (if there was, I’d know about it by now!) so the best anti-aging tips anyone can ever give you would be to keep your skin hydrated and away from the sun as much as possible. However, despite even your best efforts, aging still happens. I am a firm believer in using anti-aging skincare products and keeping my skin adequately hydrated day and night. It’s so important for healthy, younger-looking skin.
Fréquence by Gigi is a luxe anti-aging cream, created by Montrealer Gigi Amar, that really makes you feel like you just got a facial. What I particularly like about this cream is that is acts as a three-in-one. It’s a day cream, night cream, and under-eye cream. That area under the eyes is so sensitive and usually shows sings of aging first so it’s important to keep it in shape. Too often I hear women say things like, “Eye cream? I don’t think I need that,” or, “I’ve never used an eye cream before.” It’s craziness, people! So for anyone who finds the process of using specific creams far too tedious, this product is for you.
Fréquence by Gigi also contains a few of my favourite natural ingredients: argan oil, avocado oil, tea tree, as well as vitamins A, C, and E. These are amazing products that not only hydrate but help heal the skin from environmental damages. No, this product is not a miracle treatment (they never are), but it is certainly a close second. I also like the smell and the texture which are sweet, smooth and soothing. You can never see the full effects of an anti-aging product until you, well, age. But here are some things to look for whenever you try a new anti-aging product to make sure it’s working: skin appears more radiant, is never dry, is never too oily, feels smooth to the touch, and isn’t dull or tired-looking. I feel like this cream has achieved all these results for me, personally.
I have to warn you, Fréquence by Gigi is definitely a high end product, priced at $194.95.
