Ok, so my awards don’t come with a little statue to keep but for those of you who care or have nothing else to do today, here are the awards I’d give to some of the SAG Awards red carpet arrivals.
Award for the Best Tan
Ok, so Naya Rivera is half Puerto Rican….and one quarter African…and she lives in California. She may have an edge on tanning but I don’t care what anyone says, all fair to medium-skin women wear bronzer to enhance their natural glow on the red carpet. She may have a nice base to start but she sported the perfect golden tan. Not too much and not too shiny. She looked absolutely stunning with her loose waves hanging down. Good on her for acing this look. Maybe Ashley Tisdale can take a pointer or two from her (click here to see why).
Award for the Best Arm Candy
Technically George Clooney gets this award but only because his arm candy, Stacy Kiebler looked so elegant. It doesn’t take much to dress Georgie up but this woman looked amazing. I think she actually nailed the tousled waves and her beachy makeup is perfectly done because it still matches her elegant and chic look. It’s so easy to look sloppy with this trend. Stacy may not disappear into oblivion after GC dumps her.
Award for Ahhh-Mazing at Any Age
I think Viola Davis has fallen under my radar but at the SAG Awards, she absolutely stunned. I hope I look this good and trendy at 46-years-old. Not too much and not too little, Viola showed up on the red carpet with a gorge tousled hairstyle and light golden makeup, she looks so pretty. I love the spring 2012 golden-yellow gloss. The eyes look amazing, too. Golden eye makeup can get out of control and disco-not-so-fabulous real fast but she nailed it.
Award for the Best Hair of 1997
If this were 15 years ago, Ashlee Simpson and her purchased face would have made the list for great hair. Unfortunately, it’s 2012 and the bleached blond hair with brown roots and heavy black eyeliner don’t fly. Madonna rocked a similar look in the 90s and if she tried it today, she’s probably rock it again. But Ashlee Simpson ain’t Madonna. Maybe it’s just me, but I’m not loving it.
What do you think? Who were your fave celebs of the evening?
